What makes the paper quality 'museum-grade'?
We use 250 gsm (110 lb) archival paper, which is significantly heavier and more durable than standard prints. The natural white, uncoated matte finish ensures longevity and prevents yellowing, preserving the integrity of the Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri masterpiece.
How is the artwork framed and protected?
The print is housed in a 20mm thick frame made from responsibly sourced oak and ash. It features shatterproof plexiglass, which provides a high-clarity view while protecting the art from UV rays and physical damage.
Is the artwork ready to hang upon arrival?
Yes. Your 'Ceremonial Floor Paint' print comes with a professional hanging kit included. The frame is designed for easy installation, allowing you to elevate your interior design immediately upon delivery.
What are the environmental credentials of this product?
RedKalion prioritizes sustainability. We use FSC-certified wood for our frames and paper, ensuring that your fine art reproduction supports responsible forest management and environmental stewardship.
How is the print packaged for shipping?
We use specialized, reinforced packaging to ensure your framed art arrives in perfect condition. Our shipping process is optimized to handle large-format museum prints with the highest level of care.
What is the significance of the dot work in this piece?
In Tjapaltjarri’s work, dots are used both to depict sacred landscape features and to obscure secret-sacred information from the uninitiated. This technique creates a multi-layered narrative of the 'Dreaming' tracks.
Who was Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri?
Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri (c. 1932–2002) was one of the most renowned Australian Aboriginal artists. He was a founding member of the Papunya Tula artists and is celebrated for his complex, large-scale 'map' paintings.
