What printing technique is used for these fine art postcards?
We use high-end 12-color fine art printing technology. This process provides much greater color vibrancy and tonal depth than standard commercial 4-color inkjet printers, accurately reproducing Arkhyp Kuindzhi’s mastery of light.
What are the paper specifications for the Birches postcards?
Each card is printed on 200 gsm (80 lb) FSC-certified paper with a 0.26 mm (10.3 mils) thickness. The smooth matte finish ensures a glare-free display and a premium, archival feel.
How long will these reproductions last without fading?
By utilizing archival-grade inks and acid-free, FSC-certified paper, our reproductions are designed to resist fading and yellowing for decades, maintaining the integrity of Kuindzhi's original palette.
How is my order shipped and packaged?
Our postcards are printed on demand to ensure quality control. They are carefully packaged in protective materials to prevent bending or damage during transit, ensuring they arrive in pristine condition.
Are the materials used for these postcards environmentally friendly?
Yes. We use FSC-certified paper, which supports responsible forest management. Our print-on-demand model further reduces environmental impact by eliminating excess inventory and waste.
Who was Arkhyp Kuindzhi and what was his style?
Arkhyp Kuindzhi (1841–1910) was a renowned landscape painter of Greek descent. He is famous for his "Luminism" style, characterized by dramatic lighting effects and high-contrast color palettes that often feel mystical.
What makes the 'Birches' painting unique in art history?
Kuindzhi’s 'Birches' is celebrated for its simplified composition and revolutionary play of light. He moved away from traditional detailed realism toward a more atmospheric, emotional representation of nature that influenced future generations.
