What materials are used for the frame?

Our frames are crafted from responsibly sourced oak and ash wood. They measure 20mm (0.79") in thickness and width, providing a premium, sturdy profile that is significantly more substantial than the common 14mm frames found elsewhere.

Tell me about the paper quality.

We use 250 gsm (110 lb) archival museum-quality paper. It is natural white, matte, and uncoated with a thickness of 0.29 mm (11.4 mils), ensuring a non-reflective, sophisticated finish that captures fine detail perfectly.

Is the print ready to hang upon arrival?

Yes. Your Matisse print arrives fully assembled in its black wooden frame with a professional hanging kit included. It is ready to be displayed on your wall the moment it is unboxed.

How is the artwork protected from damage?

Each print is protected by shatterproof, transparent plexiglass. This ensures the artwork remains safe from dust and UV light while being much more durable and safer for home environments than traditional glass.

Is this print archival quality for long-term collecting?

Absolutely. RedKalion uses archival-grade materials and FSC-certified paper designed to prevent yellowing and fading. This museum-quality reproduction is built to maintain its color integrity and physical structure for decades.

What is the significance of the White Book in this Matisse still life?

In Matisse's 1923 work, the white book represents intellectual life and quiet contemplation. It acts as a visual 'anchor' to the vibrant dahlias, creating a balanced narrative of nature and culture.

In which artistic period did Matisse paint Bouquet of Dahlias and White Book?

Matisse painted this during his 'Nice Period' (1917–1930). During this era, his work became more luminous and naturalistic, focusing on the beautiful interiors and light of the French Riviera.
