What is the print quality of these Eva Hesse postcards?
Our postcards utilize 12-color fine art printing technology. This results in superior color vibrancy and depth compared to standard 4-color prints, ensuring the intricate textures of Accession II (1968) are accurately captured.
What type of paper is used for this set?
We use archival-grade 200 gsm (80 lb) FSC-certified paper. It features a thickness of 0.26 mm (10.3 mils) and a smooth matte finish for a premium, glare-free feel.
Are the postcards environmentally friendly?
Yes. RedKalion uses FSC-certified paper from sustainably managed forests. Our print-on-demand model also reduces waste by ensuring we only produce what is ordered.
How long will the prints last without fading?
Thanks to our archival-grade inks and high-quality paper, these prints are designed for longevity. The 12-color technology offers exceptional UV resistance to ensure the artwork remains vivid for years.
When will my order ship?
All orders are printed on demand to ensure the highest quality. Typically, orders are processed and shipped within 2-4 business days via reliable carriers.
What was the inspiration behind Hesse’s Accession II?
Hesse wanted to subvert the rigid geometry of Minimalism. By hand-threading thousands of plastic tubes into a steel cube, she introduced a sense of human labor and biological vulnerability to an industrial form.
Why is Accession II (1968) considered a Post-Minimalist masterpiece?
It broke the rules of Minimalism by incorporating soft, chaotic interiors within a hard exterior. This duality between the organic and the industrial is a hallmark of Hesse's influential style.
